Good Candidates for Sealcoating Job

Areas requiring maintenance or enhancement of friction values.
Pavements to be preserved against high exposure and degradation due to UV rays.
Protection against, rain, dust, and foreign objects.
Pavement that is beginning to show signs of erosion and loss of fines.
Beautification of the pavement.
Damaged pavements from rubber removal, jet blasting, fuel, and oil spillage

Surface condition

Cracks with more than 4 mm average width shall be sealed before sealcoating.
Oil and fuel spots shall be treated.
Surrounding pavement must be in Min 80% good condition or Min
PCI 80.
The pavement should not have previous settlements, alligator or spider cracks, high tensions blocking cracks are not proper for sealing job.
Pavement stress, base, or material issues with the existing pavement are not covered.
Some patches or failed areas to be treated and repaired before sealing.
No previous improper construction, such as beneath failed layers
Surface preparation such as covering manholes and areas not to be sealed over with material.
Cleaning with Sweepers, Blowers, and air compressor out of any debris.

Uses

Designed for application as a professional protective coating of asphalt pavement including driveways, playgrounds, parking lots, bike paths, surface streets, airport runways, and highways.
Available in modified forms for various color applications, skid resistant requirements, or use on alternative surface materials

Asphalt Sealcoating

The material is loaded with special pump from totes for agitation and application.
The application will be done in 1 to 2 coats depending on the surface and site condition.
It is recommended to squeegee the first quote ensuring filling asphalt voids and spray the second coat final thickness of the covered area is approx. 1.53 mm with 2 coats.
Fast setting formula shall be used to allow the traffic in less than 60 min.
Performed job Measurement The performed jobs will be measured and preceded at each shift by both parties’ representatives, based on runway sections on sqm areas.

Advantages

May be applied above 50°F (and rising) and on most dry or slightly damp surfaces (May be applied in cooler temperatures or unfavorable conditions with the use of fast drying additives).
Sealcoating provides excellent coverage with higher film thickness per coat due to higher aggregate/binder content. Helps fill minor cracks in the pavement to eliminate water penetration.
Sealcoating and micro surfacing provides excellent adhesion.
Excellent curing properties under normal conditions. Assists in nighttime installations without direct sun loading.
Will resist re-emulsification once cured. Traffic striping immediately after curing may be achieved without discoloration.
Resistant to tire scuff and power steering abuse.
Contains no bio-accumulative metals or chemicals. Nonhazardous in cured form; therefore, it may be disposed as cured residue in any landfill.
